Canvas Designer

The Canvas Designer is a drag-and-drop visual editor for creating pixel-perfect layouts. Build full-screen compositions with images, text, videos, and live data widgets — no coding required.

Opening the Designer

Go to Designer in the sidebar, then click New Design. Choose a canvas preset (16:9 landscape, 9:16 portrait, 4:3 legacy) or enter custom dimensions.

Working with Layers

Every element on the canvas is a layer. Layers stack on top of each other; drag them in the Layers panel to change their order. You can lock, hide, or group layers.

Block Types

  • Text — Add a text block, then style font family, size, weight, colour, and alignment. Supports multi-line and auto-scrolling ticker mode.
  • Image — Drop an asset from the library or upload directly. Set fit mode to fill, contain, or cover.
  • Video — Embed a video asset. Videos play muted by default.
  • Widget — Insert live data blocks: Clock, Date, Weather, RSS ticker, QR code, or custom HTML snippet.
  • Shape — Rectangles, circles, and lines with fill/stroke options.

Animations & video export

Select any object and use the Animate control in the Properties panel to give it an entrance effect: Fade, Rise, Pan, Pop, Wipe, or Typewriter (text only). Set the direction (where it applies), duration, and delay per object, then press Preview to play the whole layout on the canvas. Animation settings are saved with the layout.

When you're happy, click Export. Animated layouts are recorded to a looping video at the layout's resolution and uploaded straight to your Assets library, where they play on screens like any other video — add them to a playlist just as you would an uploaded clip. Static (non-animated) layouts export to a full-resolution PNG instead.

Saving and Publishing

  1. Click Save (or press Ctrl+S / ⌘S) to save a draft.
  2. Click Publish to make the design available as an asset in your library for use in playlists.

Templates

Start from a pre-built template by clicking Templates at the top of the designer. Templates are available for common use cases: menu boards, welcome screens, KPI dashboards, and event signage.
